Symmetric and asymmetric nuclear matter in the relativistic approach.
The properties of hot matter are studied in the frame of the relativistic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock theory. The equations are solved self-consistently in the full Dirac space. For the interaction we used the potentials given by Brockmann and Machleidt. The obtained critical temperatures are smaller than in most of the nonrelativistic investigations. We also calculated the thermodynamic properties ...
متن کاملParticle-drip lines from the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory with Skyrme interaction.
We calculate positions of one-and two-particle, proton and neutron drip lines within the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory using Skyrme interaction. We also determine an approximate r-process path defined as a line where the neutron binding energy is equal to 2 MeV. A weakening of the nuclear shell structure at drip lines is found and interpreted as resulting from a coupling with continuum states.
متن کاملHartree-Fock Theory with Correlation Effects Applied to Nuclear Reaction Rates for Charged Bose Nuclei Confined in a Harmonic Trap
Abstract: Based on Hartree-Fock theory with correlations, approximate solutions of the manybody Schrödinger equation are examined for their use for calculations of nuclear reaction rates for charged Bose nuclei confined in a harmonic trap. It is shown that the nuclear reaction rate calculated with the Hartree-Fock mean field solution makes a significant contribution even in the presence of two-...
متن کاملCharge renormalization at the large-D limit for diatomic molecules
The charge renormalization procedure for the calculation of the correlation energy of atoms utilizing the analytically known large-D limit solutions for the exact and Hartree–Fock equations is extended to diatomic molecules. This procedure is based on the variation of the nuclear charge, Z , and internuclear distance, R , of the Hartree–Fock Hamiltonian such that the Hartree–Fock energy will be...
متن کاملLiquid-gas phase transition in nuclear matter: mean-field and beyond
The liquid-gas phase transition in nuclear systems is a unique phenomenon, at the frontier of nuclear, many-body and statistical physics. We study this phase transition theoretically at the Hartree-Fock level and explore the available parameter space for the critical point by using several mean-field parametrizations. We find the latent heat of the transition and describe its temperature depend...
